Quick-disconnect electrical connector prototype completed

Minneapolis, MN 09 March 2007—Caztek, Inc. completes prototype design work on a hight current, quick-disconnect type electrical connector specifically for micro resistance welding applications.  "This connector meets the specific needs of microresistance welding for medical devices, and has potential applications in other industries."

Capable of handling the 2000 amps of current that can flow during sub-second duration micro resistance welding, and has applications in numerous other industries.

The quick-disconnect coupling allows weld tooling to be changed with a quarter-turn of the connector body, facilitating rapid tool change over in a production environment.

Caztek, Inc. is in the business of providing mechanical engineering, CAD design and precision machining services to a variety of industries including the spaceflight, medical device and industrial automation sectors.
