CNC Machinist
FULL-TIME ROLE
POSITION OVERVIEW
Caztek Engineering is an innovative Engineering and Product Development company. We develop
products for a wide variety of industries including medical, aerospace, industrial, and consumer
markets. We have a dynamic, creative, project-based environment, working on many cutting-edge
and new product designs. As a CNC Machinist, you will work alongside our experienced team of
Project Managers, Industrial Designers, Engineers, other Machinists and Product Fabricators to
deliver exceptional designs, prototypes and products to our customers.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
– Demonstrated problem-solving skills
– Competence with 3, 4, and 5-axis CNC milling and CNC turning (Haas and DMG Mori/Siemens Control preferred)
– CAM programing, setup/fixture design, and run (Mastercam preferred)
– CMM, inspection, quality control and related documentation
– Continuously learn, improve, and pursue your passion for creating precision parts and assemblies and solving complex problems
– Source necessary tooling and materials to complete jobs
– Communicate manufacturing improvements and optimization to the engineering department
– Evaluate prototypes and designs for refinement through assembly and testing
– Directly contribute to the solutions provided to customers

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
REQUIRED
This position requires meeting work deadlines, tracking time and materials purchased to meet production and budget goals set by others. Communication with supervisors or engineers on the job is essential. It also requires a signed employment and confidentiality agreement along with a background check.
Ability to stand and work in a fabrication shop
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Education
– Trade school or associate’s degree in a technical field
Experience
– Machine programming and setup: 5+ years of relevant experience
– Working with and proficient knowledge of CAM
– Knowledge of principles, and procedures relating to machining technologies
– Demonstrated critical thinking skills
– Hands-on experience preferred
– Ability to work independently
Travel to classes for additional training may be required.
Position is first shift. Occasionally a job may require additional hours to meet project deadlines.
